I have been neglecting my little piece of cyberspace for far too long. Things were really busy at Camp Buehring, but now I’m down at Ali Al Salem and my schedule has normalized. Anyhow here are some pix from when I was at Buehring that I meant to post ages ago:

This is where the tire of my HMMWV melted into the sand. Looking back it is kind of cool, but it was in the 130s when this happened.

Speaking of cars, this was what I was driving while I was at Buehring. If it was a horse I would have to shoot it.

This is the road to Buehring. It is about 22 kilometers of this crap. Really fun to drive at night! The fact that there is unexploded ordinance scattered around is an extra incentive to stay on track when driving.

Some of the local wildlife on the road to Buehring.

And their bottoms!

Home sweet home. Nothing like having seventy roommates.
